It was time for something new to represent what we stand for today & in the years to come
“Innovation in hospitality shouldn’t be hindered by PMSs ever again”. That was the mantra of Apaleo’s founding team back in 2017, on a mission to build the industry’s most flexible property management platform providing accommodation businesses the freedom to create their unique concepts and experiences.
Based in Leopoldstrasse, Munich, the team created a brand that needed to stand its ground to change the industry forever. On the brink of our fifth anniversary and hundreds of innovative properties later, our mission remains intact. Still, the world and the industry have gone through a (r)evolution and the company with it. Businesses need more flexibility and agility than ever while ensuring a solid structural technology foundation.
As Apaleo and its ecosystem continued to grow rapidly, it was fundamental to us that our new style would gear us for the challenges of today and tomorrow while staying true to our principle of creating the most open & approachable ecosystem in hotel technology. We’re super pumped to share our new brand and look with you!
Apaleo: not another PMS
No, Apaleo is not just another brick in the wall. And here’s why.
Traditional PMSs, (whatever they say), are still mostly building closed, all-in-one products with flexibility and 3rd party applications coming last in their priority list, making it almost impossible for hospitality businesses to have a technology stack that fits their specific needs and doesn’t look like the competition next door.
Without an open (API-first) platform, hotels, serviced apartments and other accommodation businesses have little choice as to what’s available to them and how they should design their solutions. That’s where Apaleo comes in, providing a robust platform to build on the way you see fit. Representing this notion of creativity by unlocking a best-of-breed approach and plugging in customized solutions is core to Apaleo’s new brand.
Preparing the future
We’re still very much at the beginning of our journey to make the digital future of our industry bright! The past couple of years have shown that the industry is changing, with a new generation of travelers and operators challenging the status quo with new demands and concepts.
It’s our job to make sure hospitality technology is not fixed in time, and to support hospitality in becoming a role model for other industries in terms of innovation. We want the Apaleo brand to characterize this dynamism and strive for constant innovation to help the industry move forward.

Some of the strongest words to describe Apaleo are COMMUNITY & ECOSYSTEM. What makes our company unique is that we bring all stakeholders (hoteliers, app vendors, independent developers, consultants, and education professionals) together to have an exponential and lasting impact on the industry.
While we are at it, we might as well have fun. After all, “collaboration over competition” is a huge part of what we stand for! So, we had the desire to create a brand that’s playful yet inspirational which the people of hospitality can rely on in the long term!
