Infinite hospitality: powered by tech, driven by AI

Together with Julius A. Anders, General Manager DACH at Numa Group, I had the pleasure of contributing another article to the latest edition of the Hotel Yearbook. In this article, we explore how technology is transforming hospitality by enabling convergence across property types, guest segments, and operating models.

Here’s what stands out:

Today’s guests expect seamless, tech-enabled experiences, regardless of accommodation type, prompting hoteliers to rethink both their technology stack and traditional property types.

• Hospitality convergence runs on agile tech: Companies like Numa Group rely on open, API-first systems like Apaleo to manage hybrid portfolios and respondquickly to evolving guest needs. Apaleo’s flexible architecture empowers them to deliver consistent, high-quality experiences across diverse property types – and scale at speed. Since adopting Apaleo, the Numa Group has grown to 9,000 units in 36 cities and achieved 100% revenue growth in 2024.

• AI is accelerating operational transformation: AI-driven automation, ranging from guest messaging to housekeeping coordination, is streamlining formerly manual workflows. At Numa Group, over 80% of these processes are automated, driving a 60% reduction in operating costs. By embracing AI, hoteliers are not only improving efficiency; they’re scaling faster and delivering consistently elevated guest experiences.
